(no subject)

I'm going to try to use this account every single day. No, really: even if that means just screaming into the void for most of it.
(OK, maybe I'll just aim for 'the majority of days', but eh.)

Steam Next Fest starts today. I realised when I woke up, and had about six emails of "a demo for a game on your wishlist is now available to play!", and the other I just got while typing this. I'll try to actually play some this time, because it's usually one of those sorts of things where I go 'oh I'm really gonna do it!!' and then... never do it. I'll see what looks/sounds good and go from there. (as is the purpose of the event, really :P)

something about new places

Starting a new account anywhere is like staring down into a big, sweeping expanse of nothing. The fun part is that I get to fill it up with something: my ramblings, my yappings, my emotionally-driven statements about how I want to kiss my favourite fictional man of the evening.... but right now, it's got nothing. And 'nothing' is borderline intimidating.
This is the fun part, see, where I'm supposed to go into spaces dedicated to, and involving, meeting people-- and meet them. Talk, socialise, post, and I say 'maybe in a minute, maybe in a day', because new places are scary and strange, new places are clunky and ill-fitting, and we will all benefit from me getting a little comfortable here before I go try to add onto it.
It's the same 'staring into the expanse' feeling that starting my Neocities gave me, and though I haven't shared that link anywhere, I like how she's fleshing out. I hope to flesh out my space here into something I can be just as happy with. And I think that'll make it feel OK.

(one thing I do particularly like here is the pretty chill rules surrounding adult content. that's a plus.)
((and I'm barely kidding about that 'kissing fictional men' thing. chances are I'll get talking about that eventually))
